HARWOOD, Leonard

Passed peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie on March 13th, 2017 at the age of 91. Loving husband of Mavis for 63 years. Honoured father of Steven, Matthew (Christine), Mandy and Adam (Jessica). Will be sadly missed by his cherished grandchildren Justin, Ryan, Adrian and Amelia. Leonard served in the British Navy during WWII and in the Royal Canadian Air Force after he immigrated to Canada, where he established a successful career in Marketing at Honeywell Computers. Guests are invited to share their memories with the family during an informal gathering at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Rd., Barrie from 2 – 4 pm on Saturday, March 25th, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations in Leonard’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association.
