It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of our 'mum', Jean Roberta Harvey (nee Miller), 82, at Owen Sound Regional Hospital on March 30, 2023.
Originally from Doncaster, England, Jean came to Canada in the early 1960's with her husband David (deceased). She spent the rest of her life as a very proud Canadian, raising her three children in Barrie, ON.
Jean was a kind, caring soul who was full of life and will be missed and remembered by the many lives she touched, including members of her extended family. She was the matriarchal glue that bonded her family and her love was constant and unconditional. She was an avid Leafs and Argos fan and loved to cheer at sporting events for her grandchildren.
Her family hopes she is now surrounded by loved ones and furry friends who have passed before her, reading a good book and sipping a cup of Earl Grey tea.
Loving mother to Allison Diane, Andrew Mark Walton (Denise) and Linda Ann. Beloved Grandma (Nanu) to Sarah and David, as well as her furry grandchildren, Pippa and Elvis.
Jean very generously bequeathed her body to the University of Toronto in aid of furthering medical science and research. As such, no formal service will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
