HARRIS, George Russell

At the age of 78, passed away at the Royal Victoria Hospital on Sunday, June 5th, 2022. George was born on September 19^th, 1943 to Violet and Russell Harris in Barrie Ontario. On September 6^th, 1968 he married Willy Noordegraaff and they went on to have 4 children; Charles (Teresa) Harris, Melissa (Kevin) Everton, Geoff (Heather) Harris and Teressa (Erich) Aldebert. He will be greatly missed by his wife Willy, his 4 children, 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his sisters Ruth Harris, Pearl (Len) Cumming, Edna (Franklin) Higginson and he is survived by his sister Marie (Hoyle) Campbell. George was a long-time member of the community, a proud farmer and always loved to stop and talk with people. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 13th at the Adams Funeral Home, 445 St. Vincent Street, Barrie from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service in the Chapel on Tuesday, June 14th at 11:00am, followed by a reception. Interment at Grenfel Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made in George’s name to The Grenfel United Church.
