HAMILTON, Douglas Leroy (ROY)

Peacefully at Victorian Village Manor in Barrie, ON, Roy Hamilton passed away just one week after his 96th birthday. He was born in Carlisle, ON on May 21st, 1920, the youngest child of Harry and Bessie (Mason) Hamilton.  Predeceased by his wife Bernice (Kitching) Hamilton, formerly of Waterdown and by his 9 brothers and two sisters. Roy farmed in the Carlisle area on the Hamilton Century Farm for many years before he and Bernie moved to Minesing and later into Barrie. He is survived by dear friends Roger & Monica Cox as well as many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at the JENNETT FUNERAL & CREMATION CENTRE, 152 Bradford Street in Barrie on Friday, June 3rd at 12 noon with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. A reception in the funeral home will be followed by burial at Midhurst Union Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to a charity of your choice would be preferred.
