Peacefully at Victoria Village in Barrie on July 4, 2018 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Chuck Hamill. Loving mother of Shelley Hamill, Lori Bell (Doug), and the late Dale Hallett. Cherished grandma (Babe) of Chuck, Lindsay, Stephen, Tyler, Jordan, and great-grandma of Gavin, Caden and Lyla. Dear sister of Shirley Carson and Tom Hickey. Lillian is remembered and loved also by Jean Cornell, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Guests will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Friday July 6 from 11:30am until the time we celebrate her life in the chapel at 1 pm. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lillian’s memory may be made to the ALS Society of Canada and are greatly appreciated. The family would like to take this opportunity to especially thank the staff at Victoria Village on the Buckingham floor. Words alone cannot express enough how extraordinary, caring, thoughtful, personal, gentle and kind the staff have been with Lillian.
