With sadness for our loss but happiness for her peace, the children of June Gray announce their mother’s passing in Barrie on Monday April 25th, 2022 at the age of 82. Predeceased by her beloved husband Jim. Honoured mother of Doug (Marilyn), Barb (John), and Gary. Cherished grandmother to 5 and “GG” to 6. Lovingly remembered by her sister Carol (Jim), sister-in-law Ruth (late Wilson), and brother James (late Sharon). Known to many as “Nan’, June will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, and long-time friends.
Cremation has taken place, with arrangements entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie. A memorial service will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church, 9 Granville St., Barrie on Saturday, May 14 at 1 P.M., followed by a reception in the church Hall. Masks must be worn while within the church.
The family would like to take this opportunity to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and volunteers at the I.O.O.F. for the outstanding care provided to June. If desired, donations in June’s memory may be to the Alzheimer Society.
