Passed away peacefully at home on October 8, 2022 in his 88th year.
Bill was the beloved husband of Diane Gollop (predeceased) for 62 years.
Loving father of Jim, Steve and Gary (Sandy). Cherished grandfather of Jamie, Caitlin and Megan and great grandfather of Jacob, Jesse and Kailee.
Bill was a man of many skills. He played piano, banjo, guitar, trumpet and trombone. In 1963 at the age of 27 he won the Governor General's Air Rally trophy in his Cessna 140 at Oshawa ON. He began his career as a business owner and mechanic of an auto garage in Barrie. He then moved to Orillia where he was chief pilot and electronics technician at Orillia Air Services for 10 years before piloting private jets for various aviation companies for another 20+ years.
Bill will be forever loved and never forgotten.
