GIFFEN, Maureen (Gahagan)

Passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie on Monday March 20th, 2017. Maureen Giffen at the age of 56, loving wife and best friend of Jim Giffen. Daughter of Beverly and the late Bernard (Doc) Gahagan DVM. Step mother of Karen (Adam) Bertrand, Julie Giffen (Jason Shurr), Stacey Giffen (Aran Minogue) and Kelly Giffen. Step Grandmother of Gavin, Cole, Caitlyn and Jack. Cherished sister of Lauretta Gahagan, Timothy Gahagan, Kathleen (Buffie) Anderson (David Anderson). Maureen will be fondly remembered by her mother in-law Dorothy (the late Douglas) Giffen as well as her nephew Sean Anderson. Predeceased by her brothers Joseph, Matthew and Shaun Gahagan as well as her nephew Michael Anderson. Friends will be received at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME, 445 St. Vincent St. Barrie (just north of Cundles Rd.) on Saturday from 5 – 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Wasaga Beach United Church 380 Zoo Park Rd, Wasaga Beach, ON L9Z 1S7 on Sunday March 26, 2017 at 2 o’clock p.m. A Celebration of Maureen’s Life will be held in Bad Axe Michigan at a later date.
