It is with profound sadness that the family of Linda B. Gauthier (nee Carlson) announces her passing  on Sunday February 26th 2023, peacefully at RVH hospital in Barrie courageously after a long battle with Cancer in her seventy-fourth year.

Born in Bonfield where she also spent part of her childhood. Later, moving to Callander before making the leap to Toronto during her adult life. Finding north again to East Ferris several years later. Settled in the Barrie area during the mid-eighties. Having cherished memories of friends of old and new alike. The wonderful people she met and the lifelong friendships that were made. All of which were extremely important to her.

She is survived and will be greatly missed by her husband and best friend of 54 years, Reg, her two children (Mark, Lori), five grandchildren (Krista, Kaitlin, Austin, Mikael, Aidan), and three great grandchildren (Amelia, Alijah, Piper).

Predeceased by her father, Gustav (d.1957 ), her mother Marie Louise (nee Larochelle  d.2006 ) and brother Donald (d. 2015). Also mom to a second daughter, Sherri-Lynn whom was tragically lost soon after birth.

Linda is survived by two sisters (Doris, Bernice) and five brothers (Leo, Jim, Allan, Emerald, Bryan).

A heart of gold who always put the needs of others above her own. She had many hobbies and loved to knit and crochet. Throughout her life she was an absolute champion with her tenacious spirit and generosity.

A celebration of her life, sharing memories with family and friends is scheduled to be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall Saturday March 11th, 2023. 93 Berczy Street, Barrie Ontario L4M 3R2. All are welcome between 3 - 5 pm.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Hospital for Sick Kids or the charity of your choice are suggested.
