It is with broken hearts, that the family announces the peaceful passing of Phyllis at Victoria Village in Barrie on Sunday, June 11th, 2023, in her 91st year.
Loving mother of Stanley Fry, Howard Fry, Linda Fry, and stepmother of Mary Fry.
Cherished grandmother of Stanley Fry and Jason Fry. Step-grandmother of Jason Elliott, Chris Elliott and Brittney Halliday. Dear step-great-grandmother of Frankie Elliott. Dearest godmother of Georgina Smith.
Predeceased by her parents Andrew and Mary Abbott, brothers Howard and Wilson and sister Selena, all of Bonavista, Newfoundland.
Phyllis was born in Bonavista, Newfoundland, and very proud to say she was a “newfie”.
Phyllis will always be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her many friends, family and church family.
At Phyllis’s and the family’s request, cremation has taken place.
Friends may pay their respects at the Steven R. Bridge Funeral Home, Angus, on Thursday, June 22nd, 2023, from 12noon until the time of the funeral service at 1:00pm.
