Peacefully passed with her family by her side at Hospice Simcoe on Saturday, July 1st, 2023 at the age of 79 years. She spent nearly 65 years with her beloved husband, Walter Forbes. Loving mother of Mark (Rose) Forbes and Kim Irwin. Proud grandmother of Matthew, Mark Jr, Joshua, Kyle, Ashley and Travis. Great grandmother of Tegin. Dear sister of Maxine McNabb (Peter) and predeceased by her siblings Donald, Joan, Norman and Susan. Will be missed by many extended family members and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Thursday, July 6th, 2023 from 11-1 pm inside the Lower Lounge. All are welcome to share memories and stories with refreshments provided. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marion’s memory may be made to Hospice Simcoe and are greatly appreciated by the family.
