FONG, Chee-Wing

It is with deep regret and sadness we announce the passing of Wing Fong on Friday, November 11th, 2016 at the age of 70, after a long and valiant battle with cancer. Wing was the loving husband of Lai Chun Fong, beloved father to Amy and Steve, and much loved grandfather to Aiden, Cassius, and Phoenix Coulson. A well-known and respected Chinese Chef and Ontario based Restauranteur for over 40 years. Wing gave generously to the community, and helped many new immigrants to Canada establish themselves in the restaurant business. Wing took great pride in everything he did, and was always there to help family and friends. He always held a very special place in his heart for his three grandchildren, and his youthful heart and caring attitude was never more evident then when he was spending time with his loving family. He will be greatly missed. Friends and family will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Road, Barrie on Saturday November 19, 2016 for a service in the chapel at 12pm. Visitation from 11am. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Simcoe and would be appreciated by the family.
