Passed away peacefully in her 98th year, at Mill Creek Care Centre Barrie, on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Alfred Foerster, and sister of the late Jo Battle and Jack Phillips. Patricia and Alfred raised five children, Larry Foerster (Barbara), Susan Cameron (Sandy), Mark Foerster (Janice), Stephen Foerster (Linda), and Tim Foerster (Laura). Pat’s grandchildren are Neil, Andrew, Robin, Wilson, Carly, Ryan, Nadia, Glenna, Jennifer, Christopher, Thomas, Melanie, Kristen, and Brittany, and her great-grandchild is Edith. Pat was born in Oakville to Charles and Mary (Hunt) Phillips, and was a long-time resident of Sudbury and Barrie. She graduated in nursing from St. Joseph’s Hospital in Toronto in 1944 and practiced for many years. She joined St. Mary’s Parish in Barrie in 1989, and was active in the church widows group. She had a life-long love of bridge, from a close-knit small club in Sudbury to a duplicate bridge club in Barrie.
