Peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday November 8, 2017 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of the late Irene. Sadly missed by his dear companion Helen and her daughter Nancy. Dear father of Gordon (Julia), Deborah, Susan (John), and Darlene (Ben). Predeceased by son Robert. Proud and loving grampy of fourteen, great GG of twenty five, and soon to be great great great grampy of one. Survived by his sister Doris Clegg (late Lorne). Predeceased by his brothers Bob (Dorothy), Albert (Dorothy), George (Lorraine), and sisters Mary (Elwood) Tomplison, and Mildred (Earl) Walters. Sadly missed and always loved by his brother in law Jim Jones and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Guests will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Rd., Barrie, on Tuesday November 14, from 2pm until the time we celebrate his life in the chapel at 4 pm. A reception will follow.
