Ana (Anne) Theresa Dwinnell (née Deckert)
July 16, 1933 – January 24, 2024
Peacefully passed with family by her side at the Hospice Simcoe in Barrie on Wednesday, January 24th, 2024 at the age of 90 years. Beloved wife of the late Donald (2001). Loving mother of John (Carol), Darlene (the late Ian), Debbie (Bob), Cheryl (Roger), Wendy (Phil) and Susan (Dean). Proud grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 3. Will be sadly missed by extended family members and dear friends.
Anne loved life and was always a happy person who was very content with living a simple life. She had a passion for gardening and loved her dogs. Giving back to the community was important to Anne and had 5 years of volunteer service at the RVH Barrie cancer centre and had received a gold pin and was admired by both staff and patients.
A private family service will take place in the future. Interment will occur in the Spring at the Barrie Union Cemetery, 338 Sunnidale Rd., Barrie. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne’s memory may be made to Hospice Simcoe or a charity of your choice and are greatly appreciated by the family.
