September 14, 1946 - January 14, 2023
Peacefully in her home on Saturday January 14th 2023, with her daughter Erin and sister Dorothy by her side, Carole passed away after ten years of living with Parkinson’s. At the age 76, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Mike. Proud mother of Erin (James Chapple) and gram of Roland, Carole was a constant example of how to be loving and strong in the same moment. Dear sister of Rose, Edward (Shirley Vella), Helen and Dorothy and survived by many cherished nieces and nephews. Carole will be fondly remembered by family and friends.
Carole held many roles over her career at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, Ontario. She was well respected for her ability to take complex problems and in collaboration with colleagues, deliver lasting solutions for the benefit of the organization, staff and patients. Through the years, Carole enjoyed traveling and her home was filled with many treasures from around the world. While at home, she enjoyed hosting family and friends and sharing her love for and talent in cooking fabulous meals that were always paired with equally fabulous conversation.
Cremation will take place and at Carole’s request, no services will be held. Instead, the family requests that if you have a favourite memory of Carole that you share it. Stories and photos can be emailed to: [email protected] and will be turned into a memorial book.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research would be appreciated.
