DUIKER, Jack (Jarig) Simon Lijkele

Passed away at the Mill Creek Care Centre in Barrie on Friday, May 20th, 2016 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Boeyenga), dear father of Suzanne & her husband Dirk (Richard) Kroon of Guelph, Rick & Darlene, Marcel & Frances, and Peter & Karen, all of Barrie. Loving Pake to 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. For many years, craftsman at & owner of Bay City Upholstering, tireless supporter of social justice-related Christian causes, and ever fervently devoted to family. Mental and physical illness robbed Jack and us of so much, but we are comforted to know he is now released to glory.  Relatives and friends are welcome at the JENNETT FUNERAL & CREMATION CENTRE, 152 Bradford Street in Barrie on Tuesday, May 24 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral service at FIRST CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 33 Shirley Avenue in Barrie on Wednesday, May 25th at 11:00 a.m.  The family invites you to stay for a luncheon following to share memories and comfort.  Interment at 2 p.m. at Barrie Union Cemetery.
