(July 22, 1932 - May 20, 2018) - Passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe on Sunday, May 20th, 2018 with family at his side. Gord Dawson in his 86th year, loving husband of Norma (nee Crawford). Father of John (Annie Roberts), Jerry (Anne), Peter (Lynn), Darlene (Bryan) Ferguson, Dennis (Ann), Debbie (Terry) Martin, Pauline (Jason) Musselman and the late Ivan Dawson. Grandfather of Jay, Lindsey (Jack Rolston), Holly (Ryan) Thompson, Michael, Hannah, Tyler, Lauren, Reghen, Emma, Brock, Tracey (Kyle Page) , Trevor, Kayla (Matt Lewis), Shawn, Katlin, Jordan and Sarah. Great grandfather of Wesley, Alyvia, Channing, Addison and Corbin. Gord will also be fondly remembered by his sisters Doreen Roubos and Joan Davis. Predeceased by his brothers Ron, Lloyd and Leonard Dawson. Friends will be received at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME, 445 St. Vincent St. Barrie (just north of Cundles Rd.) on Thursday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Heritage Baptist Church 79 Ardagh Road, Barrie at 11 o’clock Friday, May 25, 2018 with visitation from 10 a.m. Interment Knox Presbyterian Cemetery Oro-Medonte. Memorial donations to Hospice Simcoe, Heritage Christian Academy or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
