(May 18, 1939 - September 20, 2018) - Manuel L. DaSilva passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday September 20, 2018 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Teresa Miranda DaSilva for 55 years. Dear Son of the late Manuel M. DaSilva and the late Emilia Vieira DaSilva. Loving father of Teresa Lopes, Manuel H. DaSilva, Wilson DaSilva and Diane DaSilva. Proud Father-in-law of Jose Lopes and Katherine Maternicki. Cherished grandfather to Lori-Anne Lopes, Dylan Lopes, Julia DaSilva and Matthew DaSilva. Manuel will be sadly missed by his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and extended family. Friends may call at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME (445 St. Vincent Street, Barrie) on Monday from 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (65 Amelia Street, Barrie) on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 10 o’clock a.m. Interment St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. A reception will follow at The Knight’s of Columbus Hall (93 Berczy Street, Barrie). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul would be appreciated.
