June 6, 1985 - January 10, 2023
On Tuesday, January 10, 2023, Eric Henry Cooke of Barrie, Ontario passed away unexpectedly at age 37. He is survived by his son Spencer, partner Lori, mother Risha, sister Valerie, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Eric was a magnetic human. His infectious laughter, jubilant spirit, biting tongue and witty intelligence caused people to be drawn to him. Eric was confident in himself and had the ability to turn any situation into what he wanted it to be. If he wasn't able he could always enjoy the irony and absurdity of any bad situation or misstep. His sense of humor was second to none but he was as compassionate as he was funny. Eric would give you the shirt off his back but tease you for taking it.
Eric was extremely family driven and was always looking for an opportunity to tell you of his son, Spencer. Eric was a loving father and nothing made him happier than watching Spencer learn and grow as he was the complete light of his life.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to make to the CMHA of Simcoe County.
