Posted

Untitled-1

Anthony (Tony) Clerk was born on September 20, 1933 in Kingston, Jamaica and died peacefully in his sleep in Barrie on Monday, August 7, 2017. He was in his 85th year. Tony had a zest for life. He was a mover, and a doer – he loved to sail, to build, to cook and to spend quality time with his family. He spent many summers taking his beloved wife Evelyn, and his children and grandchildren sailing on the Calypso Lady. Tony maintained his good nature and positive demeanor to the end of his life in spite of incredible challenges. His easy sense of humour, providing nature, and warm ways will be dearly missed by all. He is survived by his brother David and predeceased by his brother Michael. He is a dear father of Deighton (Jane), Charmain, (Tom), Karalee, Brent (Agnes), Darren (Mercedes) and David (Kathy), Paul and Caroline (Brian). He was loving grandfather to Kevin, Laura, Clara, Sheldon, Cary, Graham, Warren, Spencer, Dalanna, Alex and Jordan, Nathan, Jennifer, Julia, Leanne and Sheryl and loving great-grandfather to Corinne, Emily and Lucas, Parker, Arcadia and Norah. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the MS Society through the Jennett Funeral & Cremation Centre, 152 Bradford Street in Barrie.
