It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Alexander Muir on December 12, 2023, after a yearlong battle of illness.
Edward was born on February 24, 1962 in Orillia, Ontario. For over 25 years he has lived with his sister Ilene and brother-in law Hubie in Barrie, Ontario.
A loving son to parents pre-deceased, Ed James Muir and Mary G Muir {nee McCann}. Cherished brother to sisters Mary Elizabeth Higginson {Phil}, Ilene Taillefer {Hubert} and Carol Muir and greatly missed by his many extended family members and great friends.
Edward attended William B Wright Memorial School in Orillia and Empower Simcoe in Barrie. Edward touched everyone’s life with joy and happiness and was an inspiration to all. He was always curious and courageous against all odds. Edward left a lasting impression on all who were blessed to have known him, and will be forever missed.
A gathering for friends and family to celebrate the life of Edward will take place at the Orillia Masonic Temple, 24 James St E, Orillia, on April 20th, 2024 between the hours of 1pm-4pm.
