Passed peacefully with family at his side at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie on Wednesday, May 8th, 2019 at the age of 90.
Beloved husband of Shirley Cathers (nee Freeman). Loving father of Greg (Nicole) Cathers, Nancy (Noelle) Burtch, Carrie (Steve) Adams and Leslie (Mark) Blot. Proud grandpa of Trevor, Shannon, Kyle, Cameron, Emma and Ben. Dear brother of Vic (Pat) and the late Eileen (Russ) Bradley.
Ken touched the lives of many in his 35 years as a teacher and principal in Barrie and Innisfil.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Friday, May 10th, 2019 from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on the following day from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral will be held on Saturday, May 11th, 2019 at 1 p.m. inside the Funeral Home Chapel. Reception to follow in the lower lounge. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Simcoe or a charity of choice in memory of Ken and are greatly appreciated by the family.
