Passed away peacefully on March 16, 2021 in her 91st year. Predeceased by her first husband Jack Storie (1989) and her second husband Jim Carter (2005). Loving mother of Bill Storie (Carol Gagnon), Bob Storie (Deb), Tim Storie (late Sandy 2020) of Windsor and Mickey Turner (Barry) of Hamilton. “Mim” will be dearly missed by her seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Mae was predeceased by her sister Hazel Kirk (Larry), and daughter-in-law Donna Storie. She will be fondly remembered by Debbie Storie (Laurie), Ed Beaule and her dear friend Ev Morrison. Auntie Mae will be missed by the Kirk, Courtin and Morrison families. Mae was born in Barrie where she married Jack and raised her children. In the mid-sixties, she and Jack moved their family to Windsor where she remained. Mae was a hard worker and finally retired in her 84th year. She was a proud life member of the Legion Branch 143 as well as the Ladies Auxiliary.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Extendicare Tecumseh, especially Oldcastle House for their exceptional care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Extendicare Tecumseh Residents’ Council, your local hospice or a charity of your choice. At Mae’s request there was a funeral service held in Windsor, followed by cremation.
