Passed away at the Victoria Village in Barrie on Monday October 3rd, 2016. Joan Cannell of Barrie in her 84th yr. was the beloved wife of the late Keith Cannell. Dear mother of Paul (Lisa) of Barrie and Grant (Mary) of Innisfil. Loving grandmother of Tyler, Kaitlyn, Jessa & Mya. Also survived by sisters Ruth Baker (Vic), Wilma Patzer (Fred) & Pat Murtagh. Pre-deceased by sisters Helen Baker, Margaret Roden & Janet Fink. Joan will be sadly missed by her many nieces & nephews. Friends may call at the JENNETT FUNERAL & CREMATION CENTRE, 152 Bradford St. in Barrie on Thursday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Service will be held at the Emmanuel Baptist Church (374 Salem Rd. Barrie) on Friday October 7th at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. James Cemetery, Stroud. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Hospice Simcoe in Barrie.
