Passed away peacefully, with her two daughters and their families by her side on December 6th, 2019 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. Loving mother of Ann Mitchinson (Dave) and Cathy Knack (Rob). Predeceased by her husband Fraser and son Gordon. Mother of David. Cherished grandmother of Jaime, Scott (Heather) and Samantha, and great grandmother of Mason, Madison and Jax. She will be dearly remembered and never forgotten. Her humour and kindness was what made her loved by all. Through her smile and laughter, she made friends with all those who crossed her path.
Friends are invited to join in the celebration of Nellie’s life in the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home Lounge, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Wednesday, December 11th 2019 from 1 – 4 p.m., with words of remembrance to be shared at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation or Stomach Cancer would be greatly appreciated by the family.
