Jim Cameron of 4th Line in Shanty Bay, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday, March 24th, 2018 at the age of 76. Loving husband of the late Christena Alderson. Honoured father of Brenda Heittola (Larry) and of the late Bradley Cameron. Cherished Grandfather of Julia, Jamie and Jaden. Dear brother of Marjory McQuay (Lawrence) and George Cameron (Suzanne), and brother-in-law of Elaine Walker (Allan), Sally Walsh (John) and Harvey Alderson (Brenda). Special friend to June Forrest. Will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, long-time friends in Oro-Medonte, and the Forrest family. Guests will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Wednesday, March 28th, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, March 29th at 11 am, followed by a reception in the Lounge. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, with special reference to ‘Brain Tumor Research’ and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
