Passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 14th, 2018 at the age of 55. Lawrence was the beloved husband and soulmate of Margaret for 15 years and will be missed by his four-legged friend Ginger. He was a loving father and will be missed by Christopher (Amy), Amanda, Cassie and Ryan. Son of Jerry and the late Marina Burke. Lawrence is also survived by his siblings James Burke, Lynn (Joe) Durocher, George (Janice) Burke, Michael (Carol) Burke and Blaine Burke predeceased by his sister Elizabeth Burke. Lawrence will be fondly remembered by his mother in-law Lois (the late Vernon) Boyd and his sisters in-law Patricia Miller, Isabelle (Bill) Ridd and Valerie (Gary) Hackett as well as his nieces and nephews. A special thanks to family friends Adam Peters, Ron and Sue and Chris Van Huis. Gratitude is extended for the compassionate care provided by Dr. Rask, Dr. Luchkiw, Joline and all the nurses and staff who provided care at the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Center at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. A private family Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
