Died peacefully at Hospice Simcoe with his devoted and loving wife, Joan Jay, by his side. Survived by his dear nephew, Marc Sloan Campbell, daughter, Wanda (Colin), and also five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Predeceased by daughter, Brenda (Dick). Howard was an avid golfer - 1949 Junior Championship Winner at the Barrie Golf and Country Club. In 1952 Howard won the Hiram Walker Open Championship in Collingwood. He also won the Senior Invitational at the Barrie Golf and Country Club in 1982, then again in 1996. Innisbrook Golf Course was his final course of choice at which he played in the Senior League. A proud member of Lions International and was granted their Life Membership.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, beginning at 10am until the time of the Memorial Service at 11am at Adams Funeral Home (445 St. Vincent Street, Barrie) followed immediately by reception.
