God called Dad home peacefully in hospital at the age of 90. Loving husband of Geertruida Bos. Father to John (Nellie), Andy (Janet), Wilma (Peter) and Larry (Jacky). Opa to Joanna (deceased), Mike (Mouy), Neil (Coreen), Marc (Amy), Steven, Lindsay (Ryan), Laura (Michael), Krista (Alexander), Richard, Lisa (Joe), Jessica. Dad was a proud “Opa” to 9 great grand children – Maya, Amelia, Caleb, Colton, Hailey, Winston, Abigail, Grayson, James. Also remembered by nieces and nephews in Canada and in Europe. Last September we had the wonderful opportunity to celebrate Dad’s 90th birthday. This past May, Dad and Mom celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. We give thanks to God for the many blessings and His faithfulness during Dad’s life on earth, his love of family and for his steadfast example of his faith in God. We would also like to thank the staff of Mill Creek Care Centre Floor 3 west for the love and care for Dad the past few months. This was greatly appreciated. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.A private family burial will take place prior to the visitation and a celebration of Dad’s life to be held at the First Christian Reformed Church, 33 Shirley Ave, in Barrie, Ontario on Wednesday July 24th, 2019 with visitation at 1:30 pm followed by a Celebration of LIfe at 2:00 pm and a time of refreshments and fellowship after the service.
