It is with deep sadness and love that the family of Jennie Barbara Boddy (nee Leigh) announce her passing on September 9, 2022. Predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Kenneth Boddy, on August 30, 2001.
Cherished and deeply-loved mom of Brenda Boddy (Ted Emms) of Midhurst. She will be remembered fondly by Ted's children, Christina Emms-Hill (Mark), Ken Emms (Cindy Dixon), and will be especially missed by Ted's daughter Kim and her husband, Herwin Sarmiento, and their family. She was the beloved GG of Junior, Maggie, and 'her boy' Jack.
Born at home in Oro, Ontario on February 8, 1936 to parents Frank and Eva Leigh (nee Tudhope). Predeceased by her big brother Donnie, and brothers Mel and Alex. Also predeceased by her sister, Doris Dainty. She is survived by her sister, Frances Barton, of Aurora.
She was lovingly raised by her cousins, Jean and Archie Leigh, from the age of nine until the day of her wedding, June 20, 1953, when Archie walked her down the aisle. Always considered to be their fourth daughter, and the oldest sister, she will be missed by Yvonne, Penny and Terry Ann. Mom was always thankful for the home she had with them.
A Graveside Service will take place at Barrie Union Cemetery on Saturday, September 17th, 2022 at 11:00am.

There's magic in a Mother's touch, and sunshine in her smile.
There's love in everything she does to make our lives worthwhile.
We can find both hope and courage just by looking in her eyes.
Her laughter is a source of joy, her words are warm and wise.
There is a kindness and compassion to be found in her embrace,
and we see the light of heaven shining from a Mother's face.
