BERECZKY, Andrea (nee Jackson)

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the sudden passing of a wonderful wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, Andrea Bereczky at the age of 52. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Don and Nighean and brother David. Andrea is survived by husband, soul mate and strength, Paul, siblings Lynda Shaer (Bob), Robert Jackson (Carol), Cameron Jackson (Sunny), Patti Jackson, and sister in law Rosie and Paul Hoaks. She is going to be sorrowfully missed by her nieces and nephews, Aaron, Nathaniel, Justin, Jackie, Catherine, Angela, Troy, Arlene, Ben, Alyx, Lauren, Jackie, Julia Grace, Douglas and Bennett. Andrea's passing will also be grieved by her cousins Craig, Wendy, Sheri and Susan. After graduating from Georgian College with her nursing degree Andrea dedicated over thirty years working at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie. Hungry for new challenges in her career she also worked at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto and the Kandahar Air Force Base in Afghanistan. 120 Steele St. was the family home and held so many precious memories for Andrea, in particular, the special relationship she had with her Mom. Sugar Bush was her home in the country that she shared with Paul and many furry four legged friends. Skiing, sledding, golfing, and reading were just a few of her many interests but Andrea will be best remembered by all who came to know and love her for her compassion and sense of humour. A celebration of Andrea's life will take place at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Sunday February 12, 2017 from 1 pm to 4 pm. Words of remembrance will take place starting at 2 pm. If desired, In honor of Andrea’s parents at the family’s request, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and are greatly appreciated.
