Peacefully passed away with his wife by his side on November 20, 2017 at the age of 71. Beloved husband of Adele and love of her life for 51 years. Loving and devoted father of Della (Shaun) Benoit, Lee (Michelle) Benoit and Tracey (Jason) Jesso. Proud Gopie of Krystal, Thomas, Staci, Correna, Delaney, Austin, Ashton and great Gopie of Kaitlyn, Matthew, Derek, and Rylee. Survived by brothers Tommy (Marina), Finton (Irene), Gerard (Sylvia), Maurice (Rena) and sisters Helen (late Eugene) Cornect, Monica (late Ken) Bolland and Thelma (Joe) Seymor. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 13 Baldwin Lane, Barrie, Ontario on Saturday November 25, starting at 11 am. A reception will follow in the Parish hall. In lieu of flowers donation’s in Richard’s memory may be made to the Amyloidosis Foundation (www.amyloidosis.org/) and are greatly appreciated by the family.
