Bennett, Georgina “Weenie”

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Georgina “Weenie” Bennett, suddenly at her home on Wednesday February 3rd, 2016. Wife of the late Colin Bennett. Loving mother of Nick (Lynda) and Leanna. Grandmother of Brock, Alex, Kira, and great-grandmother of Rhys. Family and friends will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Road, Barrie on Monday February 8th, 2016, from 7pm – 9pm. A service will be held on Tuesday February 9th, 2016 at 11am at St. George’s Anglican Church, corner of Burton Avenue and Granville Street, Barrie. Her unique character and amazing presence will be sadly missed by many. Donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
