Angie (Angela) Bennett, age 59, passed away on November 12th, 2021 after her courageous battle with cancer.
Angie was born in Toronto where she grew up as one of eight children to Antoinetta Iannetta. Angie moved around to various places in Toronto throughout her life, until she and her husband Blaine moved to Barrie to purchase their first family home. She earned a Pharmacy Tech diploma, but decided to start a family and became a full time caretaker for her two children. Later in her life, Angie entered back into the workplace, as a Teacher's Assistant for York Professional Care and Education. Here she would find her home away from home as "Miss Angie".
She was a beloved mother to Crystal and Brandon, and mother-in-law to Andrew and Nicole. She was a wonderful grandmother to Nathan, his "Nanny B". Angie will forever be known as an excellent mother, caring sister, the "cool aunt" and the best gift giver by all her loved ones.
She treasured the adventures to discover new shopping centers, was known for her excellent taste as a food critic, as well as exhibiting year long Christmas Spirit!
Friends and family will be received at LEGACY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Cedar Pointe Drive, Barrie on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 11 a.m. until time of Angie’s Celebration of Life service at 12 o’clock p.m. By family request, proof of full COVID Vaccination and government issued photo identification is required at the door prior to entry. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to Hospice Simcoe (https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/2595)would be greatly appreciated. The wonderful family at Hospice Simcoe provided Angie with sincere care and love to ensure she was always comfortable.
