Pat “Patsy” In her 84th year, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, after a brief and sudden battle with cancer at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Monday, March 8th, 2021.  

Pat was born and raised in Burnley, Lancashire, England the eldest of 6 siblings, Robert “Bob” Baldwin (Eileen) of Barrie;  William “Bill” Baldwin (Mary) of Barrie;  Vera Disley (John) of Spain;  Sheila Macken of Lancashire;  and Kathleen Bannister (Michael) of St. Catharines.  

Pat and  Arnie were married on April 1st, 1961, and celebrated over 60 years together.  They began their adventures in life together in Lancashire, England and which continued when they emigrated to Barrie, Ontario Canada in 1973, with their two daughters Karen Kidman (Mike) and Alison Lintner (Steve).   Pat is fondly remembered by her four Grandchildren, Devan, Cameron, Shauna, Logan her many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends all around the world.

Pat was a hard worker all her life which continued into retirement.  She started working at the cotton weaving mills in the UK to the food and service industry in Canada.  She was well read and a trivia buff who liked to be competitive at all family games.  She loved to watch tennis, Jeopardy, enjoyed travelling and working in her garden.  She enjoyed family gatherings including summer vacations and attending soccer, hockey and lacrosse games of her four grandchildren, as they were a big part of her life growing up.  She will always be remembered by her great dance moves at all family functions.

At Pat’s request, cremation has taken place and a private ceremony will take place with immediate family in the spring.  

A celebration of Pat’s life will take place for family and friends at  the  BULL and BARREL PUB tentatively scheduled for   Saturday, May 1st, 2021 (1:30 pm to 4:00 pm) (pending current Covid19 restrictions).
