Passed away peacefully at the IOOF Long-Term Care Home 10 Brooks Street, Barrie on Monday August 22, 2016. Gordon Bartley in his 92nd year, beloved husband of Alva (Rawding-Thompson) and the late Vera Bartley. Dear father of David (Shirley) Bartley, grandfather of Owen (Sharon) Bartley great grandfather of Jenson and Cole and grandson Glenn Bartley. Gordon is also the father of Jennifer (Bob) Merchant grandfather of Ashleigh (Pam) Merchant. Step father of Bill (Cindy) Thompson step grandfather of Bonnie and Diana, step father of Jennifer Thompson and Douglas (Kara) Thompson his daughters Emily and Audrey. Friends will be received at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME, 445 St. Vincent St. Barrie (just north of Cundles Rd.) on Thursday August 25, 2016 from 10 a.m. until time of service in the Chapel at 11 o’clock. Interment Glendale Memorial Gardens Etobicoke. Memorial donations to the IOOF Home or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
