It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marion at the age of 91, on February 23rd, 2021, with her daughter Jane by her side at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie. Pre-deceased by her loving husband Stewart in 2019, and cherished son Steven (Sharron) in 2018.
She will be fondly remembered and missed by many family members and friends, especially Barbara. Marion was a kind, gentle person with a great attitude towards everyone and a zest for life. Many still could not believe she continued to downhill ski in her 91st year. She also had recently taken up playing bridge again after a 20-year absence. She was an avid reader and loved to learn and be informed. Marion had maintained numerous and lasting friendships over the years and was admired and appreciated by so many for her supportive nature. She always cared.
A celebration of Marion’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 28th, 2022 at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie. Visitation will take place from 10:30 A.M. until the time of service at 11:30 A.M. with a reception luncheon to follow in the Lounge.
