Peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Friday September 16, 2022. Beloved husband of Joyce Ackerman (nee Bell) who passed away Friday August 4, 2022, they would have been married 70 years on Sept 20, 2022. Loving father of Gary (Lynne) and Connie (Robert). Morris will be sadly missed by his children and grandchildren Carrie (John), Daniel (Bethany),Danielle (Andrew), and Becky (Austin). Morris also delighted in his six great grandchildren, Noah, Eli, Grace, Naomi, Lila, Scarlett, and a seventh on the way.
Morris was born and raised in Stayner but lived most of his adult life in Barrie. He made many lifelong friends as he worked to build his business (Ackerman & Thompson Body Shop) and remained active in his church life and community service. One of his fondest pleasures was spending time with family and friends at his beloved Chesley Lake cottage. We are grateful that Morris was able to spend many hours with his family and friends during his final days.
