MONTREAL — The Montreal Alouettes re-signed kicker Boris Bede, defensive back Tevaughn Campbell and offensive linemen Matt Vonk and Xavier Fulton on Tuesday.

CALGARY — The Calgary Stampeders signed defensive lineman Ese Mrabure on Tuesday. The 25-year-old from North York, Ont., has played a total of 38 CFL games — including 16 starts — over three CFL seasons with the B.C.

WHITEHORSE — An Alaskan musher has won his third title in the 35th Yukon Quest international dog sled race. Allen Moore of Two Rivers, Alaska, crossed the finish line in Whitehorse on Tuesday morning with a time of nine days, 18 hours and 53 minutes.

TORONTO — The Toronto Rock announced midfielder Tom Schreiber will miss six to eight weeks after an injury. It happened in the fourth quarter of last week's game against the Rochester Knighthawks when Schreiber collided with a pair of defenders.

The British Columbia Lions beefed up their offensive line with the signing of Americans Joel Figueroa and Jeremy Lewis as the free agent market opened Tuesday in the Canadian Football League.

WINNIPEG — Nic Demski is returning home. The Winnipeg native agreed to terms with the Blue Bombers on Tuesday, roughly an hour after becoming a CFL free agent.

CRANBROOK, B.C. — A man who pledged $7.5 million to a British Columbia junior hockey team has pleaded guilty to an unrelated fraud charge.

OTTAWA — The Ottawa Redblacks signed free-agent defensive lineman A.C. Leonard and defensive back Loucheiz Purifoy to one-year contracts Tuesday. Leonard, 26, spent the last two seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

HAMILTON — Ted Laurent is staying put. The burly defensive tackle signed a two-year contract extension with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Tuesday. The CFL club announced the deal minutes after the noon ET start of the league's free-agent period.
