Growing up in a small town on Georgian Bay that was smack dab in the middle of a valley, finding high-calibre toboggan hills was never a problem.

There was Harrison Park (where there was even a tow rope many years ago), Spring Hill, St. Mary's Hill (where you could even dart in and out among the massive billboard sign if you so dared)... the list goes on and on. Every neighbourhood had at least one good one nearby and within walking distance.

While maybe not quite as steep here in Barrie, this city's topography provides several locations where you can get up to a decent speed as the snow and brisk air freeze your face.

Of course, everyone knows about Sunnidale Park. Hillcrest Public School on Toronto Street also seems to be a popular destination to dust off the GT Sno-Racer.

Just this past weekend, we found a secluded hill to bomb down near Emms Drive and Harvie Road in the south end. I suspect there are many other secret gems to be found.

With the kids getting a prolonged break before heading back to class, we want to know where some of your favourite locations are for tobogganing in Barrie. Let us know in the comments section with the exact location. Don't hold out on us!
