The Barrie Colts were on the road Saturday night to take on the Windsor Spitfires.

Coach Warren Rychel made his return to the WFCU Centre and was received with a warm welcome and video tribute.

In the first period, Tyson Foerster scored 30 seconds in on the first shot of the game.

Arturs Silovs made multiple great saves throughout the period keeping the Colts up 1-0.

The Spitfires got on the board in the second period courtesy of Tyler Angle on the powerplay with Rubin Rafkin and Will Cuylle collecting the assists.

With nine seconds remaining in the period, Daniel D’Amico scored on the powerplay. Connor Corcoran picked up the assist.

The second period would end with Windsor leading 2-1.

Early in the third period, Riley Piercey scored on a great shot going bar-down, unassisted. That would be the lone goal in the frame.

The game needed overtime, but nobody found the back of the net.

In the shootout, Ryan Suzuki got the lone goal for the Colts as the Spitfires scored two and went on to win the game by a final score of 3-2.

The Colts are back in action next Saturday at home against the Kingston Frontenacs.
