'Dominant' U12 Colts team hoists York-Simcoe title

After posting a 'staggering' 27-1-1 record this season, the Barrie team will compete for provincial title later this month

The Barrie Colts U12 'BB' hockey team recently won the York-Simcoe title and will now face off for a provincial crown. 

The team's coaching staff says the players maintained a "never-give-up, resilient attitude" throughout the season en route to a "staggering" 27-1-1 record.

The Colt capped off their local league season with a "dominating display of teamwork and perseverance" with a 9-2 win in the championship game over their division rivals, the Newmarket Renegades.

The Barrie team will now battle for the coveted red hats at the Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) championships in Windsor at the end of the month. 

The Colts team includes Landon Maisonneuve, Will Mutrie, Owen Poliziani, Colton Archer, Teagan Tiffin-Seminara, AJ Luczyk, Jack Hussey, Nolan McColl, Ben Sudsbury, Callum Roach, Jonathan Tallarigo, Logan Munshaw, Colton Proc, Eli Hardy-Plummer, Jack Whipp, Cooper Suggit, and Blake Barter.
