Colts dominate Bulldogs again before heading back to Steeltown

Game 3 of the first-round series goes tonight at FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton

Barrie Colts captain Brandt Clarke leads the OHL in playoff scoring with 10 points in two games following another dominant performance on Saturday night at Sadlon Arena.

The Barrie Colts have jumped out to a 2-0 lead in their best-of-seven, first-round series against the Hamilton Bulldogs in Ontario Hockey League playoff action. 

The Colts doubled up the Bulldogs, 6-3, last night at Sadlon Arena. 

Barrie captain Brandt Clarke followed up a six-point night in Game 1 with four more as he potted one goal and added three helpers. Clarke now leads the OHL in scoring with 10 points in two games.  

San Jose Sharks prospect Ethan Cardwell scored twice while defenceman Beau Akey, who's eligible for the 2023 NHL Draft, had a pair of assists.

Callum Chisholm and Declan McDonnell also had a goal and an assist in the win.

Barrie outshot Hamilton, 36-29, with Arizona Coyotes prospect Anson Thornton getting the win in goal for the Colts. 

Game 2 was played before a crowd of 4,263 at Sadlon Arena.

The Colts and Bulldogs have a quick turnaround for Game 3, which goes tonight in Hamilton.
