Blue Mountain Resort announced today it will have two chairlifts and some runs open later this week.
The slopes open at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15, with lift service from the Silver Bullet and Easy Rider.
According to a news release from the Collingwood-area resort, the recent cold temperatures have allowed snow-makers to ply their trade and get some runs covered in snow.
"There is a unique anticipation that happens at a ski resort at this time of year,” Blue Mountain Resort president and COO Dan Skelton said in the news release. “We have adapted to all kinds of weather and conditions and thanks to the hard work of our team and Mother Nature’s co-operation, we are ready and excited to open the slopes.”
