TOWN OF PENETANGUISHENE – On Saturday July 9, 2016 at 6:52 p.m. members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call after a male had broken into a motor vehicle on Fox Street in Penetanguishene, ON.

The male was alerted by the vehicle owner before running from the scene. Police located the male a short time later on Main Street in Penetanguishene.

As a result of the investigation, a male youth who cannot be named under the authority of the Youth Criminal Justice Act has been charged with:

  • Theft under $5,000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

  • Possession of property obtained by crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

  • Trafficking in schedule IV substance – other drugs contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act

  • Trafficking in schedule III substance – other drugs contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act

  • Possession of property obtained by crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
