On February 8, 2016, just before 2 a.m., a 42-year-old Loretto woman was involved in single motor vehicle collision on Simcoe County Road 27 north of Highway #9 in Bradford West Gwillimbury.
The woman was seriously injured as a result of the collision and taken to a Toronto trauma centre for treatment. No other vehicle was involved and no one else was injured.
Traffic reconstruction officers were called in to investigate. The woman was eventually released and the investigation continued into the cause of the collision.
A warrant was sought for the woman's blood alcohol level.
On today's date, the woman was charged with Careless Driving and Novice driver above zero BAC ( blood alcohol content)
The woman will see a Provincial Court Justice in July to answer to the charges.
