HOSPICE SIMCOE

The Hike for Hospice has become an annual tradition for many families and friends to honour the memories of their loved ones. We welcome returning and new hikers to create a team, gather pledges and join us as you walk with family, friends and co-workers in support of Hospice Simcoe’s programs and services.
We are grateful for over 600 participants who joined us last year and raised over $96,000! Our 2019 goal is $100,000
The Hospice Simcoe clinical staff team, the Hospice Hearts, raised over $6,000 last year. “Every day our team cares for the residents at Hospice Simcoe and supports the families who spend their final days and weeks with us. We are proud to walk at the Hike in memory of those we have cared for. It also gives us an opportunity to reconnect with families.” – Michelle Taylor, RN

The Hike for Hospice will be held at Sunnidale Park in Barrie on Sunday May 5. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Dorian Parker Centre, Hike starts at 11 a.m. Walk at your own pace along the 2.3 km trail. There will be a complimentary light lunch for all registered hikers with pledges of $20 or more. This is a family friendly, pet friendly event.
Thanks to our generous sponsors, all expenses for this event have been covered. Therefore, 100 per cent of the funds raised by participants will go directly to Hospice Simcoe’s programs and services.
There is no cost to our residents, clients and families for any of our programs and services.
