Becky Overbeck is on pins and needles.

The Alliston area woman finds out tonight if she will win the title of Ms. Health and Fitness.

"We're still in it. We're top five," she said Wednesday afternoon. "It ends tonight at 10 p.m. People are still voting."

She entered the Muscle and Fitness Hers magazine competition on a whim, never thinking she'd get this far.

The world-wide competition to be named Ms. Health and Fitness began in Feb. with 1,000 contestants.

Each week those numbers were whittled down but Overbeck stayed in the running.

Now she's the only Canadian left in the contest.

"Nervous," she said Wednesday as she anxiously awaited the outcome. "I'm in third place."

Applicants were required to be into body building and fitness but Overbeck believes it takes more than muscles to win.

She operates a home gym and suspects the support she has received in free Facebook votes is grateful clients paying her back for her generous nature.

The married mom of three girls is known for offering complimentary personal training and free online advice and workout plans.

As the contest comes down to the wire, she wants people to know that two votes can be purchased for $1 with proceeds going to Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors in the U.S.

"If we win, we would like to build a larger gym space, as we are running out of room in our little studio," said Overbeck.

"Our whole town, all the followers on Facebook have invested so much time, some money, energy in helping with voting, sharing, commenting. I just want to win not only for my family, but for our town and for Canada."
