The Ontario Labour Relations Board has posted the 19-page contract offer from the College Employer Council to striking faculty members at the province's 24 community colleges.

Management requested the Board conduct a vote of the Academic unit covering full-time and partial load employees on whether to accept or reject the Employer’s last offer, dated November 6, 2017, received by the Union.

Both sides in the labour dispute returned to the bargaining table last week but talks broke down Monday.

The contract vote will be conducted on-line and by telephone and is a secret ballot.

The dates for the vote are November 14 to 16.

OPSEU, the union representing the 12,000 faculty members who are off the job, is urging faculty to reject the offer.

The union says it wants a negotiated settlement.
